Hi, I’m Mai! I’ve been designing and creating art since I was 13, starting with web design on platforms we all loved back in the day, MySpace and Xanga. What began as designing pages for friends and family quickly became a passion. I went on to study digital design at the University of Colorado and have since embraced my role as a multidisciplinary artist. From illustration to print design—and even baking—I’m endlessly inspired by exploring new creative outlets. While I once worried that having so many interests was a weakness, I now see it as my superpower, shaping the unique perspective I bring to everything I do.
Today, I’m proud to run Lucky Notes, my small business dedicated to stationery. From wedding day details to greeting cards, notepads, and stationery sets, I’ve had the honor of working with over 50,000 families on their most special days. One of the moments that stays with me is designing birthday cards for a grandmother to gift her grandchildren after her passing—a heartfelt reminder of the impact meaningful design can have.
I live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and daughter. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me experimenting with new hobbies, baking up a storm, or soaking up inspiration from the world around me.
